FISHING REPORT ARCHIVERating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Current Fishing Report First of all - thank you all for your patience, calls and emails while we work through our technical difficulties with the website. We were suppose to be transferring "seamlessly" to another server and you see how that went. After using a backup to retrieve our website from a black hole, we have some glitches that we are still working out today. If you have saved our main page or message board page as a favorite link -you will need to resave them again. Since our fishing report from yesterday was lost, I am putting the photos back out there so everyone has a chance to be on the site for a day. Those out fishing the beach in the early morning or later afternoon found catches of bluefish, sea mullets, croakers, a few pompano, a couple of puppy drum, flounder, and a few black drum. Eric Narron of Kenly, NC had a nice 17.5" flounder on Thursday. David Adcock of Lynchburg, VA had a 1 lb 11 oz grey trout.Alan and I went out Thursday evening and caught bluefish, flounder, and a pompano. Jerry Audet of Fairfax, VT and Carly Myers of Georgia, VT shared their photos from the weekend at the NPS campground where they caught bluefish, flounder, a small trout, and a shark. Tyler Rumberg is here visiting his uncle Adam Burleson. He went out to the artifical reef with Bert Clark and Byron Miller and caught this amberjack estimated at 45 lbs. The Boy Scout Troop 97 of Bellair, NC wrapped up their fishing trip with Gene Elks and Kyle White catching dolphin. Danny Hartsel, Hugh Farrell, Bill Panza, and Jessie Hathaway also with Boy Scout Troop 97 posed with their dolphin. Billy Worley of New Bern, NC becomes our new derby leader for his 5 lb speckled trout while out fishing with the Boy Scout Troop. Sonny Kilpatrick of Seven Springs, NC and James Hartley of Fuquay Varina, NC also found dolphin Thursday. Jake Archer of Batavia, OH found dolphin last week and emailed his photo to us. Laura Shaffer of York, PA shared her inshore photos of a nice puppy drum and sheepshead. Bob Blecher of York Springs, PA also had a nice sheepshead Wednesday. Abby Kocher found a black drum while inshore. Mark, Matt, and Bob Blecher and Brad Shaffer of PA found dolphin offshore Wednesday. Inshore reports include puppy drum, black drum, sheepshead, flounder, bluefish, and spanish mackerel. Offshore reports include big gaffer dolphin about 3 miles off land, amberjack, and kings.
