Current Fishing Report

Wind really breezed up on the beach today, making it tough to fish. The Washington Marince Tournament started today at the Anchorage Inn Marina. Four boats headed out this morning, but came back. One headed on out -not sure how they did at this time. Tomorrow the winds are expected to calm down so the boats can make it out. Those that are fishing on the beach found small flounder with a few keepers, sea mullets, a few puppy drum, and numerous large bluefish.
George "Dude43" Hunsucker of Stokesville, NC shared his photo today of a nice 27" puppy drum so we could look at something besides bluefish. Jay Castleman and Jessica Goss of Dover, PA shared Jay's bluefish with us and then came by a couple of hours later with 3 more bluefish they caught. Becky Blackburn of Stoneville, NC had a nice bluefish on the beach yesterday. Rick Starr of Washington, VA came by with a couple more bluefish. John Gregory, Jr and John Gregory, III of Blackstone, VA came by with some nice bluefish yesterday. Earl Bumbaugh of Mount Union, PA shared his photos of bluefish- one where he had two on at the same time. Kyle Blakenship of Urbanna, VA posed with his bluefish yesterday at the shop. Jennifer Esham of Blue Heron Realty came by with her 51 pound cobia yesterday to fill out her citation.
Have fun fishing!
