Current Fishing Report

Those out fishing yesterday found sea mullets, scattered 2-3# bluefish, small flounder, a few puppy drum,and several large red drum in the evening. The Ocracoke Fishing Tournament has started this morning from 8-4 today and tomorrow. They are located at the airport ramp north and south, so you can still fish the North and South Points as well as ramp 67 without running into the tournament folks.
Fleetwood Pierce of Colerain, NC shared his 45" red drum photo with us yesterday. John O'Connell of Vineland, NJ had another 47" red drum and shared his photo. Ken Debarth of Ocracoke, NC becomes our derby leader for his 1 pd 12 oz gray trout he caught on squid yesterday while kayaking. Jimmy Chapman of Chesterfield, VA went out fishing alone and caught several dolphin on Sunday and shared his photo with us.
