Congratulations to our 2008 derby winners! I hope to have our gift certificates out to everyone by mid January.The weather was beautiful yesterday morning, but breezes kicked up in the afternoon and made it windy on the beach later in the day. Those fishing have continued to report black drum scattered up and down the beach caught on shrimp, small to keeper sized puppy drum caught on cut bait or lures, and skates or dogsharks if casting farther out.
Toby and Claudia Harris of Clintonville, WV shared their photos of a couple of nice three pound black drum they caught on shrimp New Year's Eve. Torrey Phelps of Chocowinity, NC shared one of his photos of small puppy drum that he was catching earlier in the week.Thanks for sharing the photos guys!
