Beautiful weather yesterday, with very little wind, clean water, and low surf. We had reports of a striper, black drum, puppy drum, a couple of speckled trout, and assorted small stuff (small bluefish, blowtoads, sea mullets, and small black drum). While many of the puppy drum were short, we did get reports of several slot limit fish and one or two over the slot to 30".
Best news was the 37lb citation striper landed yesterday by Kenny Childers of Clover SC. Kenny's striper was 46" long and a great catch to see from the surf.
Bryce Paschal from Charlottesville VA also stopped by with his very nice 27" puppy drum.
Southwest breeze today will hopefully bring in a little more surf and more fish. Have fun fishing.
