Fishing report
Not too many folks on the beach fishing yesterday, which seems a shame as the thunderstorms offshore have kicked up the surf a little and improved the fishing from the last few days. Those fishing reported sea mullets, pompano, numerous small and medium sized bluefish, small flounder, and a red drum.
I was able to get out from yesterday afternoon with Alan and caught my first citation red drum.
Dominick Massimiano of Rising Sun, MD came by for a photo of one of his bluefish yesterday afternoon. Jeff Gross of Ocracoke, NC shared his photos of some nice speckled trout from inshore. He also caught some amberjack offshore with the private boat captained by Jim Kelley. Alan was able to go out with Bert Clark of "Edwards" Thursday and they caught quite a few dolphin.
Inshore reports include numerous speckled trout, spanish mackerel, bluefish, and pompano.
Offshore reports include dolphin and some wahoo.
Have fun fishing!
Melinda
