Fishing Report Unbelievable weather here- it looks and feels like the Gulf of Mexico. The surf is almost flat, water is clear enough to see your feet, and getting warmer each day. Those out fishing yesterday and this morning found quite a few little flounder with a few keeper sized, sea mullet, pompano, and small to medium sized bluefish. Sara Hill of Chicago, IL shared her photo of one of her sea mullets with us today from earlier in the week. "Pompano Will" Werner of Valparaiso, IN, shared his photo of one of his pompano with us today. Laura Hill, also of Valparaiso, IN had a great photo of her sea mullet. Kenny Hill of Valparaiso, IN caught quite a few flounder this past week and shared one of his pictures today. Marie Riddick of Ocracoke, NC becomes our new derby leader for her 1 lb 10 oz sea mullet last week. (I appreciate her patience while we had photo processing issues with our computer!) Ann Mullen of Marietta, OH had a 39.5" cobia while out on the boat Tuesday. Capt Norman Miller of "Rascal" shared one of his photos from yesterday of Pete Unger from Elkton, MD and his 39# cobia. They also caught and released several puppy drum. The Hill/Werner group went out with Capt Ryan O'Neal of the "Tarheel" this morning and caught spanish mackerel, bluefish, black drum, and pompano. Sara Hill shared her photo of her black drum. Inshore reports include catches of pompano, cobia, spanish mackerel, puppy drum, and bluefish.
