Fishing Report
Surf fishing reports continue to include plenty of small bluefish, sea mullets, and flounder. A few have found bigger bluefish, keeper sized flounder, and an occasional pompano.
Tom Kline from Charlottesville VA found that there are still a couple of large bluefish around as he brought in an 8lb blue. Jason Daniels (along with Jacob) from Ocracoke caught a nice 18" flounder yesterday and a nice pompano today.
Bob & Brenda Blecher from York Springs PA had a nice catch of spanish in just a couple hours of trolling near the beach. Others inshore have found a few flounder, puppy drum, a couple of cobia.
The charter captains have reported nice catches of dolphin offshore, along with a couple of billfish. Capt Ernie Doshier released two blue marlin on the Gecko yesterday.
