Fishing Report We had some smoke today from the large wildfire on mainland Hyde county during the winds shifting from the SW to NE. However, it has cleared off and is much cooler and is beautiful this evening. Those out fishing today reported pompano, sea mullet, and small to medium bluefish on the beach. We have heard reports of a couple of cobia caught on the beach as well. Emily Wilkinson of Kitty Hawk, NC had a nice citation 2# pompano on a sandflea today and becomes our kids derby board leader. The Hutzenbuhler family of Raleigh, NC went out with Capt Ronnie O'Neal yesterday and had several nice cobia. Capt Norman Miller of "Rascal" shared his photos of the Penny and Jay Crumpton with gag grouper, black sea bass, and red snapper from Monday. Inshore reports continue to include cobia, puppy drum, big drum, bluefish, and spanish mackerel. Offshore reports include dolphin, triggerfish, amberjack, and wahoo. Have fun fishing!
