Fishing Report
Fishing reports for the beach today still include those large and small bluefish that have been hanging around for several weeks, croaker, sea mullet, several pompano, and a few keeper flounder. We are expecting it to really warm up over the next few days and be hot and humid.
Barry King of Elizabeth City, NC had a citation size pompano of 2 lb 10 oz today on the beach and came by for his photo. Clay Whitley of Asheboro, NC shared his photo of a nice 30" bluefish on the beach. John Crowe shared his photo of Laurie Laker of Ocracoke, NC with 7 nice spanish mackerel he caught trolling just offshore near the seabuoy this morning. Ray Buck of Ocracoke, NC had a nice 50# cobia just off the beach while in the inlet boating this afternoon.
Inshore reports include cobia, spanish mackerel, puppy drum, speckled trout and bluefish.
Offshore reports include false albacore, dolphin,and amberjack.
