Fishing report
Surf fishing reports for today slowed a little due to the rain showers this morning, later this afternoon, we have cleared up and more folks are heading out. Those that were out this morning reported small and large bluefish, sea mullets, sheepshead, and a couple of gray trout.
Linda Mauck and Dennis Newton of Fredericksburg, VA caught 9 sheepshead this morning in the rain ranging from 6.2# to 10.3#. Tom Walker of Wake Forest, NC had a nice bluefish this morning on the beach as well. Ryan O'Neal and Dee Castro of Jacksonsville, NC came by this morning to show off the 11# bluefish they caught yesterday. Van Johnson of Garner, NC had a nice bluefish yesterday and shared his photo with us. Jamie Cass and Darrell Thompson of Winston Salem, NC shared a photo of their gigged flounder from yesterday. Scott Dailey emailed his photos from last weekend to share. Raul Rodriquez, Sr and Jr, Ben Jarmillo, came to Ocracoke with Scott on their first trip and caught bluefish on the beach and then went out with Capt Reid Robinson of the "Devereux" for dolphin and wahoo.
Inshore reports include puppy drum, spanish mackerel, cobia, and bluefish.
Offshore reports include dolphin and wahoo.
