Fishing Report in progress
With wind gusts up to 25-30 mph throughout today and yesterday, it has been tough standing on the beach and fishing. But those who were out report catches of medium sized bluefish, sea mullet, gray trout, a few keeper flounder, and some pompano.
Jake and Steve Faires of Mint Hill, NC shared some of their flounder that they gigged this morning with us. Jim Limberger of Daleville, VA becomes our derby leader for his 2.5 # gray trout. Ron Raiola of Fletcher, NC had a nice black drum yesterday and stopped by for his photo. Erick Dechesne of Mechanicsburg, PA caught some bluefish yesterday and shared one of his photos with us. Steve Harris of "Silver Lake Motel" on Ocracoke shared his photo of a nice bluefish from Saturday with us as well.
