Surf fishing reports for today include bluefish, flounder, puppy drum, black drum, and a couple of large red drum. The winds are a light SW this afternoon and we are expecting a couple of days of pretty weather before it turns cooler again.
Mark Edmundson of Falls Church, VA had a citation red drum this morning around 9am in the middle of the island. Elizabeth Mongomery of Wrightsville Beach, NC had a nice two pound flounder this morning on mullet. Kevin Safrit of Kannapolis, NC also used mullet to catch his puppy drum today. Paul Braly of Durham, Brandon Robertson of Raleigh and Dan Spurling of Garner stopped by last night for a photo of their puppy drum and black drum, all caught on mullet. Barbara and Van Clayton of Leasburg, NC had black drum yesterday afternoon. Steve and Cheryl Cavalier of Semora,NC had their limit of puppy drum yesterday.Chris Brown of Durham, NC was nice enough to email his photo from Thursday of his 47" citation red drum.
